Beautiful property with swimming-pool in the heart of the Dordogne

Dordogne, Lot & Gers

Description

This beautiful 19th century Périgord property for rent in the Dordogne has everything you need for your holidays with family or friends. It can accommodate up to 20 people and consists of two buildings. The beautiful Carthusian monastery has all modern comforts while retaining its rustic charm - every living room on the ground floor boasts its own fireplace. The first floor consists of 6 bedrooms, 4 with their own ensuite. A seventh bedroom is located in a courtyard, adjoining the main house and has its own shower room. The living areas have been furnished with care, right up to the TV lounge with its beautiful library and piano. On the other hand, the "Charmeuse", is furnished in a more contemporary style. Refurbished in 2021, this outhouse can be managed in a totally independent way to the Chartreuse. It has its own living spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen) and 3 additional bedrooms. Outside, the idyllic 4 hectares wooded park awaits you, where you can enjoy lunches in the sun and long walks. Numerous facilities (petanque court, croquet, ping-pong table..) as well as a beautiful 14-metre swimming pool make this property perfect for all ages.

Located in the Périgord, the property is in the middle of nature but equally very close to the village of Sainte Alvère, renowned for its winter truffle market. In summer, you will find farmers' markets and evening markets. The property is the starting point for beautiful walks and horse rides and is within easy access of the many tourist attractions that this beautiful region has to offer.

Très bel endroit aux grands espaces intérieurs décorés avec raffinement et un très joli parc. Tout confort. Idéal pour se ressourcer. Le village de St Alvère mérite également le détour.
